Photography Courses, Books, Gear Reviews and Travel Resources

Selfie stick at Reynisfjara beach, Iceland. Example of a great travel resource.

My first overseas adventure was way back in 1988 when I traveled for 3 ½ months to China, Tibet, Nepal, India and Thailand.

Over the years I’ve traveled to around 30 countries, some of them on numerous occasions.

Along the way I’ve learned how essential it is to have great travel resources.

These days we’re spoiled with options, but that can also result in paralysis by analysis when it comes to making a decison.

I’ve created this resource to help you make decisions in a more confident and stress free manner.

If you have any questions or think I should add a new resource please feel free to email me.

Photographing Cemeteries - Transience, Transition, Transformation

Over three year's in the making this eBook features photographs made on six continents and includes a range of short essays on a wide variety of technical, aesthetic and conceptual ideas.

This title examines the way I photographed each of the sacred sites and how, by answering the creative call, a general documentary approach grew into the crafting of fine art photographs.

This publication is of the highest quality and is underpinned by over 40 years experience in the photography industry. Hundreds of hours, significant travel and a great deal of expense have been invested into this project. It's  been a wonderful experience which I'd love to share with you.

Gear Reviews For Photographers

It's hard buying photography gear. Assuming you can scrape the money together you're faced with a choice between a range of camera types, brands and features.

Should you stick with a DSLR from industry titans like Canon and Nikon or, like me, are you better investing in one of the new range of more compact and intuitive mirrorless cameras?

Just click on the links below to check out the range of reviews on this site. There will be more reviews added over time.
