The fact is I operated this site, and the one that preceded it, for around 8 years before I even considered placing any form of commercial content. It’s been a fantastic experience and a privilege to help thousands of people on their own creative journey through the art of photography.

Over the years I’ve invested, quite literally, thousands of hours in the production and sharing of beautiful photos and information rich articles to inspire and educate folks all over the world.

A major motivation behind the building of this website was the intention to share the beauty of our natural world and its people with an ever wider audience.

February 2022 will mark 43 years immersion for me in the photography industry. You can find out all about my time in photography on this sites extensive About pages.

I love what I do and I’ve worked very hard to structure my life in such a way that I’m able to invest the enormous amounts of time and energy into this site to make it what it is today.

My view is that I’ve only just begun. There’s still so much more I need to do to make this website and blog the kind of essential, treasured resource I see it becoming for so many people for many years to come.
