Thanks for All the Fish

Just a quick thanks to all you good folks who regularly visit my blog. I've been quite ill with a fairly serious sinus/throat infection and, other than meeting teaching commitments and attending the opening of my friend Joseph San Laureano's photography exhibition at his Melbourne Eye Centre practice (he's an Opthomologist), I've been bed ridden for over a week. That, together with a very busy teaching regime over previous weeks, resulted in a substantial reduction in planned  posts on this site. I'm very sorry for that but super excited about what's to come between now and Christmas.

Now for some great news. Despite a recent lack of activity, the popularity of this site continues to grow. I find that fact both humbling and highly motivating. Here's a brief overview of the stats underpinning that enthusiasm:

  • While Page Views to the site received only a margin increase from last month, they're still the highest yet
  • Unique Views, said to be the closest measurement of actual real people visiting the site, received a substantial increase
  • The amount of Robots (applications that search/crawl the web looking for quality content) visiting the site grew massively.

So, based on all 3 of the above criteria, it was another record month for this site. And I want to thank you all so much for your ongoing support.

Stay tuned because I have a lot of great things, including free giveaways, between now and Christmas.

Oh, by the way, the title of this post is a vague reference to Douglas Adams book, So Long and Thanks for All the Fish, the third and final volume in his classic Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy trilogy. I say vague because, thanks to your continued support, this site is here to stay.
